ACE was engaged to investigate a SCADA issue that the PTA (Public Transport Authority) experienced. The issue appeared to be a “bottleneck” and/or source of delay when sending commands from CitectSCADA Server to field IEDs via RTU. The RTU used on site is GE D25.

We investigated the software of the reported issue based on the CitectSCADA, PLC backup, event logs, and the miscellaneous information. this was done by going through Citect alarm logic & tags and interlocking PLC code. In addition, we also captured network packets in the communication diagnostic activity on the existing control system network.
