Case Study
Great Southern SCADA Replacement
ACE carried out Great Southern SCADA replacement works for Water Corporation sites with equipment at the end of its service life. Existing remote terminal units (RTUs), programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and modems no longer had manufacturer support. Replacement parts were also unavailable.
Great Southern SCADA replacement scope
ACE tailored the upgrade to each site’s requirements. The work brought sites up to current standards and included:
- Engineering and detailed design.
- Equipment supply and calibration.
- Installation and commissioning.
- As-built documentation.
Replacing unsupported utility equipment
The project addressed equipment obsolescence across the Great Southern region. It combined engineering design with field installation, commissioning and documentation, rather than equipment supply alone.
This scope reflects ACE’s water and wastewater engineering capabilities. Related services include utility SCADA integration, PLC engineering and industrial communications.
