ACE delivers telemetry and RTU engineering for Australian utilities. We design, program, test and commission remote terminal units (RTUs) for wide-area SCADA networks.
Telemetry and RTU Integration
Our team supports RTU replacement and integration across Schneider SCADAPack, Hitachi Energy, Honeywell and SEL platforms. We work with utilities to connect remote equipment to their SCADA systems.
For replacement projects, we review existing hardware, control logic and communications. This helps define the migration scope and plan testing before site work.
RTU Programming, Testing & Commissioning
Our engineers configure RTUs, develop control logic and set up communications. Factory testing and site commissioning then check how the system works with field equipment and SCADA.
End-to-end telemetry engineering
Configuration & Logic
Configuration covers inputs and outputs, analogue scaling, digital logic and counters. We also set up communications for SCADA integration.
Protocol Integration
Our scope includes DNP3 TCP/serial, IEC 60870-5-104, Modbus TCP/RTU and OPC UA. Protocol selection depends on the platform and network requirements.
Radio & Comms Setup
For remote sites, we configure radio, cellular, satellite and LoRaWAN links. Site work can include antenna installation and signal testing.
Factory Acceptance Testing
ACE uses in-house test benches for factory acceptance testing (FAT). Tests include simulated inputs and outputs, communication checks and documented results.
Site Commissioning
On site, our engineers integrate field instruments, test signals end to end and verify SCADA communications. Handover also includes operator training within the agreed scope.
Legacy Replacement
Replacement work includes ageing hardware, logic migration and field wiring. We plan communication changes and site cutovers around operational requirements.
