Electrical and Controls Engineer

Full Time

Design, develop, and commission SCADA, PLC, and RTU control systems for utility clients across water, energy, and transport. You'll work across the full project lifecycle — from functional design specifications through FAT/SAT, site commissioning, and handover. Multi-vendor platform experience (Schneider, ABB, Siemens, Allen Bradley) is highly regarded.

Project Engineer (Electrical & Controls)

Full Time

Lead the delivery of electrical and control systems projects from scoping through to commissioning. You'll manage schedules, budgets, procurement, and client relationships while coordinating engineering teams across SCADA, PLC, communications, and site works. Strong technical foundations combined with project management capability are essential.

Electrical Technician

Full Time · A-Grade Licence Required

Install, wire, test, and commission control panels, RTUs, PLCs, and SCADA equipment on utility and renewable energy sites across Australia. You'll perform loop testing, point-to-point verification, and support FAT/SAT programs. A current A-Grade Electrical Licence is required. Experience in industrial control systems and hazardous areas is a plus.

SCADA Engineer

Full Time

Develop and configure wide-area SCADA systems for utilities — including GeoSCADA, PlantSCADA, MicroSCADA, VTSCADA, and Ignition platforms. You'll design alarm philosophies, build operator interfaces, configure historian and trending, and integrate with RTUs and PLCs via protocols including DNP3, IEC 61850, Modbus, and OPC UA. Experience in water, energy, or transport SCADA is highly valued.

Drafter

Part Time

Produce and maintain electrical and control systems drawings using AutoCAD and EPLAN — including schematics, panel layouts, cable schedules, network architecture diagrams, and site installation drawings. You'll work closely with engineers to ensure designs are accurately documented and meet client and regulatory standards. Attention to detail and experience with industrial electrical drafting is essential.

Technical Sales Engineer

Full Time

Drive business development and client engagement for ACE's SCADA, control systems, and renewable energy services. You'll identify new opportunities, develop proposals, present technical solutions to utility clients, and build long-term partnerships. A strong understanding of SCADA, OT, and the Australian utilities market is essential — combined with excellent communication skills and a consultative sales approach.

What engineering roles does ACE currently hire for?

Yes. Yes. ACE runs a structured graduate development program with rotations across SCADA, PLC, RTU, and communications projects under senior engineer mentorship. We also offer internship opportunities in partnership with local universities, giving students hands-on exposure to real utility projects. High-performing interns are offered graduate positions upon completing their degree.
