Cloudbreak Fuel Farm PLC and OIP Programming

ACE provided fuel farm PLC and operator interface panel (OIP) programming for the Cloudbreak Bigge project. The new fuel farm at Cloudbreak mine supported refuelling of mining vehicles as part of the site’s non-process infrastructure (NPI).

PLC programming scope

ACE’s scope focused on the control equipment planned for installation at the site. The work included:

  • Setting up communications for the programmable logic controller (PLC) and OIP.
  • Implementing PLC logic to interface with the fuel farm equipment.
  • Designing and implementing the operator panel screens.

Linking equipment and operator controls

The PLC logic and communications linked the control system to the plant equipment. Alongside this work, ACE developed the OIP screens for the operator interface.

The project illustrates ACE’s programming role in a new mining fuel facility. It brings together equipment interfaces, control logic and local operator displays within one engineering scope.
