Southwest Region SCADA Replacement

ACE delivered the Southwest Region SCADA replacement for Water Corporation across 101 sites. The existing control equipment had reached the end of its supported life. Replacement parts were no longer available for the site RTUs, PLCs and modems.

Southwest Region SCADA upgrade scope

Most sites were wastewater pump stations. The program also covered clear water tanks and booster pump stations, bringing several types of water infrastructure into the replacement scope.

ACE’s engineering services included:

• Design for the control equipment upgrades.
• Installation of replacement equipment.
• Commissioning at the affected sites.
• Documentation for the completed work.

Replacing unsupported control equipment

The project addressed equipment obsolescence across a regional utility network. Remote terminal units (RTUs), programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and modems all formed part of the equipment requiring upgrade.

By combining design, installation and commissioning, ACE supported the replacement work through to site handover and documentation.
